Behind the Mulebuy Spreadsheet name: Mulebuy, the agent
The catalogue kept the name after the agent went quiet. This page sets out what Mulebuy was, what its own pages said about remarks, and where things stood when we last checked.
What Mulebuy did for overseas buyers
For customers outside China, Mulebuy worked as a shopping agent that placed orders with sellers on Chinese marketplaces: you sent it an item address, it purchased from the seller, received the goods at a warehouse in Guangdong, photographed them and shipped them on in parcels you assembled. Its help pages named Huizhou as the warehouse city.
Its August 2026 terms named a UK company and a Hong Kong company. Like the agents still trading, it banned counterfeit goods in its rules and blocked purchases it judged to infringe a brand.
Buyers reached it the way this site still describes: copy a find's item address from the catalogue, paste it into the order box, choose the option and add a remark. That last step carried more weight at Mulebuy than its interface suggested, and it carries the same weight at the agents still trading.

Remarks in Mulebuy's own help pages
Archived copies of Mulebuy's pages from August 2026 mention the remark box in five places, and together they make a fair short course. The beginner guide told buyers unsure about sizing to leave a remark asking the agent to confirm measurements with the seller before purchasing. The FAQ said clothes were inspected for colour and size depending on the remark, and that a specific gift should be noted in the remarks when submitting the order, with no guarantee.
The same guide told buyers with a faulty item to click Return/Exchange and explain the issue in remarks, and the service page said special instructions for a trial packing could be added in the Remarks section. Every one of those habits carries straight over to another agent.

What drew buyers to Mulebuy, and the orders better placed elsewhere
Part of the answer to why Mulebuy appealed is that much of what it offered was shared with every agent: buying, a warehouse check, storage and a choice of shipping lines. Where it stood out was in how it presented the bill. It advertised buying without a service fee, while each parcel still paid a declaration charge, and its own guides leaned hard on remarks for sizing.
Even while it was running, another agent made more sense for some orders: where a buyer wanted a stated price for extra photos, a different shipping line, or a help centre in another language. Since October 2026 the answer is simpler. With the site unreachable, every new order goes to another agent, and the agents page compares four.

Official notices and what they covered
Mulebuy published official notices in a feed on its site. The copies we could read from June and July 2026 dealt with routine matters: shipping lines added or repriced, policy updates for certain destinations, and delays after natural disasters. None of the notices we could read mentioned closing, moving or refunds.
Notices were the agent's own report back to all customers at once, and they are worth reading the same way you read a warehouse report: what changed, from which date, for which orders.

Orders and balances placed before October
We cannot see into Mulebuy accounts, and we have no information about orders, parcels or balances. This site will not guess at outcomes or suggest routes for recovering money.
Since August 2026, buyers' forums have carried accounts of the warehouse shutting. Mulebuy has said nothing about them, and we have no way to verify them.
