Order remarks for Mulebuy Spreadsheet finds that a buyer in China can act on

The remark box is the only part of an agent order you write in your own words. A few habits turn it from a wish into an instruction.

Where the remark sits, and who reads it

Where an agent's order form has a remark box, it sits beside the option you chose. The purchasing assistant reads it before buying, and the warehouse sees it when the item arrives. Mulebuy's FAQ in August 2026 said that for clothes the warehouse inspected the colour, the size, depending on your remark or the eventually modified version, and widespread damage. Your remark set part of the check.

LoongBuy's add-ons page, last updated in April 2026 and read in October, put "special remark-based handling requests" on its list of optional warehouse services, beside specified photo angles and packaging instructions. Remarks are read, but they are not free in every case, and the order page shows what applies.

One request per line, measurable where possible

Each line should ask for one thing that can be answered with a number, a yes or a photo. "Please measure the inseam in cm" can be answered. "Check the jeans are good quality" cannot, and it invites a reply that tells you nothing.

Say how the measurement should be taken. Chest flat from armpit to armpit is a different number from the chest all the way round, and a seller's chart may give either. Naming the method, 平铺 in Chinese, removes the doubt.

Finish with the rule for a wrong answer: "If it is under 58 cm, ask me before buying." Without that line, the buyer has to guess whether you would rather have the item late or have it wrong.

Asking before purchase, or checking on arrival

Remarks split into two kinds. A before-purchase remark asks the buyer to put a question to the seller, which is the route Mulebuy's August 2026 guide suggested for sizing doubts. It costs time, sometimes a day or two, and it saves a return.

An on-arrival remark asks the warehouse to check or photograph something once the item is in hand: a tape across the chest, the inside of a bag, both shoes' size labels. It costs nothing in time but may count as an extra photo.

Use before-purchase for anything that would make you cancel. Use on-arrival for anything you would want to see but would probably keep anyway.

Adding a Chinese line under the English

Agent order pages are in English, and an English remark is the normal case. The seller, though, reads Chinese, and a before-purchase question is passed to the seller in Chinese anyway. Writing a short Chinese line under each English one removes a translation step where meaning can slip.

Keep the Chinese plain and close to the English. 请测量 means please measure, 单位厘米 means in centimetres, 请先联系我再下单 means please contact me before buying. The remark writer uses those building blocks so the two versions say the same thing.

Do not machine-translate a long paragraph. Three short lines in each language beat one long one in both.

Things a remark cannot buy

A remark is a request, and some requests have no lever behind them. Mulebuy's FAQ in August 2026 was frank about gifts: the agent would try to negotiate a gift you named, could not guarantee the seller would include it, and would not reissue one that never came.

Colour is similar. A warehouse photo under its own lights is not a colour match, and most inspection pages exclude slight colour difference from what counts as a fault. Ask for a daylight photo if colour decides the purchase, and accept that it is still a photo.

Warehouses do not alter, wash or repair goods, and they do not judge whether an item is genuine. Do not use the remark to ask for any of that, and never use it to suggest how a parcel should be declared to customs.

Remarks by shelf, at a glance

Each shelf has one detail that does most of the work. For jeans it is the waist laid flat with the inseam; for sneakers the insole length; for hoodies and T-shirts the chest flat and the body length; for bags the three dimensions and the strap; for belts the length from buckle to middle hole; for hats the inner circumference.

The remark writer carries those defaults for eight shelves and lets you add a colour check, a label photo or a stock question. The shelves page lists the detail for all sixteen catalogue shelves, including the ones where a measurement matters less than what is in the box.

Keep a pre-purchase question separate from a return request

Before purchase, ask whether the option is available and whether its measurements meet your needs. After arrival, state the discrepancy and attach the evidence. Those are different conversations with different decision points.

For example: “Ordered option 3, size 32. The received label says 30; please confirm whether the wrong size was sent. I have not approved international shipping.” Attach the saved option and a readable label photo. Do not add an instruction to return automatically unless you also understand the quoted return cost and deadline.

If the label is 32 but the fit still looks wrong, ask for the relevant measurement and the method first. A flat waist is not a body circumference, and a seller may state a specific tolerance. If the measurement does not match the paid specification, ask the agent which remedies the seller will accept. Once international delivery has happened, return postage and the destination may be very different. The earlier warehouse conversation is usually the better point to resolve an observable mismatch.
